...thoughts about the Master Author or his/her puzzles? The Master Chemist? The Master Guru? The is the right place for discussion of the first 13 Masters in the book.

Hope this doesn't count as giving away an answer, but on the author's page I like the alternate answer of sweet-tooth for a word with 3 consecutive double-letters. Hadn't seen that one before (it's in the Answer Key, so anyone could see it).

The four color map is also kind of cool. It might come in handy for keeping track of red states and blue states in November.

So... kind of a weird subject, but everything in this contest has been very organized, and everything seems to have a logical explanation - a way that it connects with other ideas. There was something I noticed in the early stages, and I still haven't found a use for it. Has anyone noticed the ladybug on the Gardener page? It bugs me that it has one big yellow dot. Has anyone found a use for it? I keep coming up with theories, but nothing's panned out yet. Think it's relevant, or am I just on a wild goose chase?

So... kind of a weird subject,... Has anyone noticed the ladybug on the Gardener page? It bugs me that it has one big yellow dot. Has anyone found a use for it? It bugged me too -- haha, pun intended. The thing is, I found it online as free clipart (after an exhaustive search). We can only speculate why, with dozens of other styles of ladybug artwork to choose from, they chose this particular version. They could have easily colored that dot black. Maybe the authors really wanted that yellow dot? I haven't found any use for it, but it is tempting to believe in the concept of Easter Eggs or bonus content. The skeptic in me says this was pre-existing art and not specificially modified for the hunt. Two sources for the same creature: newpng.com/insects/ladybugpixabay.com/en/ladybug-beetle-red-the-dots-920541/On the other hand, I'm still trying to decode dominoes that are probably just filler as well. (This is where I would insert an emoticon of a smiley face wearing a tinfoil hat, on another board I use.)

Thanks catherwood! That at least clears up a little bit of confusion, knowing the clip art image existed outside of the contest. It's probably nothing. At David's suggestion I have been going through Ready Player One, so I'm extra sensitive to trying to find Easter Eggs now.
