Who can make absolutely no sense out of any of this at all? Obviously there is some underlying mechanism here that I simply can't fathom. This whole thing just looks like chaos to me. I am going to give up and go away now... I've never been so completely lost, and I have no hope of understanding. Please, please do 1 thing for me: When this is all over, post the solution(s). Forget about the Grand Master Key - I can't even begin to understand how one arrives at a single Master Piece.  |

timotheus, try some of the trial master puzzles.... some of them give you good hints on how to put it together.

Hello, Timotheus. We appreciate your perseverance and hope that you'll continue to try to solve our puzzles until you have unlocked some of the secrets of the book. We will be releasing a series of clues that will eventually (and fairly soon) paint a clear picture of how to solve a Master Piece. The first clue, offered recently, says
"You can't trust the Key, including Page Three."
If you can learn what this means, with or without help from others on this forum, this could lead to other discoveries that could be very helpful. In the meantime, feel free to share ideas that you've tried, or ask about puzzle elements that are particularly baffling, and posters here may help point you in the right direction.

Page 3 is the Master Treasure Hunter and definitely a good place to start practising puzzle solving.

Also, by the way, to address one of the requests in the original post: Yes, we will be sharing solutions to all of the puzzles and to the contest itself at some point. The timing remains under discussion.

I kind of feel the same way. Ive didnt trust page three, the judge, or three other master keys and came to the correct solution for those. i have 5 extra clues, that still dont really help. Ive solved plenty of pages but apparently not correctly? I don't know which pages to combine or what co********* to use.

Jruiz, in MOST cases, the puzzles on the master pages are providing practice and other useful information on how to solve the "real" puzzles, which are the ones on the middle pages (without any master on the double page spread). Feel free to PM me with more specific questions, and if I can help answer it, I will. Depending how early on you are stuck, I should be able to give you help to get going again.
